VRï - formal
14:30 - 15:00
Pontypridd Museum

VRï are three young musicians from chapel-going Wales, inspired by the suppression of Welsh music, dance, and language.
As audio archaeologists, they revive lost folk traditions, blending the raw energy of the fiddle with chamber music finesse and pub session joy. Their 2019 debut Ty Ein Tadau earned a 5-star Songlines review and multiple awards. Their latest album, islais a genir (a sung whisper), was released in October 2022 on the bendigedig label. VRï will be performing rarely heard music from 'Folk Songs - Collected in Flintshire and the Vale of Clwyd' which Morfydd meticulously wrote the accompaniments for.
Performance 2 - More formal tone, offering a refined concert experience that highlights the ensemble's musical precision and depth.
