Celebrating Women & Welsh Education in RCT!
13:00 - 22:00
Clwb Y Bont

Welsh Women Quilt Exhibition
Merched y Wawr & Menter Iaith RCT have co-created a stunning textile exhibition honouring the women who shaped Rhondda Cynon Taf through Welsh-medium education, culture, and activism. Part of the 2024 Eisteddfod, these textile pieces tell powerful local stories — from pioneering educators to inspiring campaigners. Thanks to a National Lottery grant, Merched y Wawr also revived folk singing in schools – reconnecting pupils with local traditions. Come and see the stories stitched into our heritage!
